Ethics for Buyers to ensure responsibility to the puppy and the breeder

I. Commitment to Forever

Research First:

I acknowledge that a puppy is a 10–15 year commitment and have researched the specific needs, temperament, and exercise requirements of the breed.

Financial Readiness:

I confirm I am prepared for the ongoing costs of quality food, annual vaccinations, and emergency veterinary care.

II. Respectful Inquiry

Due Diligence:

While Paws2People verifies credentials, I agree to conduct my own due diligence, including video calls or site visits where possible.

Honesty:

I will provide truthful information to the breeder regarding my living situation, family dynamic, and previous pet experience.

III. Ethical Transaction

Platform Integrity:

I will complete my transaction and payment through the secure Paws2People escrow portal to maintain the security of my funds, the validity of my Platform & Processing Fee, and the protection of both parties.

Sales Agreements:

I will read and sign the breeder's specific Sales Agreement and acknowledge that while my payment is held securely in trust by the platform, my legal purchase contract is with the breeder, not the platform.

IV. Responsible Ownership

Training & Socialization:

I commit to providing my puppy with proper training and socialization to ensure they become a well-adjusted member of society.

Health Maintenance:

I agree to follow the recommended vaccination and deworming schedule provided in the puppy's vet booklet.
